Why does wilderness matter to you?

The federal lands belong to the people. Not the government, not any political administration, and not any special interest groups. As a United States citizen, I make use of these lands on a regular basis to recreate. The condition of these lands in their natural state is what makes them special - for humans, animals, insects, plants it is important they be protected at all costs - especially against greed and monetary interests. Future generations should be handed these gifts - intact, whole and pure.

Clean air, clean water, clean soil, for health, peacefully of mind, enjoyment by all.

Hearing the wolves howling at night, elk bugling, fish swimming in pristine mountain lakes.

What are your hopes for the future of wilderness?

Preservation. Continued restriction on motorized use. No mining. No reservoirs. No logging. No cattle or sheep grazing. Just nature as intended by creation and earth. Full protection by our government for the people—no use by detrimental forces and special interest groups.
