Why does wilderness matter to you?

Wilderness is our heritage of public lands where the earth and its community of life are untrammeled.

Why does wilderness matter to your community?

Wilderness can serve as a place of respite from our life in the constructed landscapes of cities.

What are your hopes for the future of wilderness?

I hope the lands already designated as wilderness will always remain wild and unimpaired. I hope more wild lands that meet the standards of the Wilderness Act will be designated for protection as wilderness areas.
